  The decoder fully supports the latest DVB-T2 terrestrial television reception standards encoded with the H.265/HEVC codec with 10-bit color depth and E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus) surround sound. Due to the transition of terrestrial television to the new broadcasting standard, Ariva T40 is an excellent and cheap alternative to replacing the entire TV set that does not support the new DVB-T2 standard.
